About

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Texas and in California. I have over 15 years of experience working with teens (13+), millennials, adults, couples and families in a variety of clinical and educational settings

My counseling approach is holistic, dynamic and straightforward. I collaborate with my clients to create a safe space that allows for deep exploration and growth. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques including Psychodynamic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Transpersonal Psychology. When working with couples and families, I apply the well-researched and empirically validated modality of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

I grew up in Jerusalem, Israel, served in the Israeli military and completed my undergraduate degree in sociology & education. I moved to San Francisco in 2001 and graduated from The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (aka Sofia University) in Palo Alto, CA, with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in 2008. My clinical experience includes working as a Therapist and later, as a Clinical Supervisor in schools, residential treatment facilities & non-profit agencies with teens and adults. Upon moving to Austin in 2015, I opened my private practice.

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, swimming in the beautiful lakes surrounding Austin, watching Netflix, Working within community organizations, reading and traveling. I usually go to Israel about once a year to visit with family & friends. Some of my new favorite travel destinations include Mexico City, London, and Budapest.
